Alberta Esports Championship
The Alberta Esports Expo is a non-profit, all-ages esports expo featuring tournaments, panels, education, exhibitors, and several unique gaming experiences!
Alberta Esports Expo is a project that is funded by the Canadian Government through the Canadian Relaunch Heritage Grant aimed at celebrating the diverse representation of Canadians coming together.

Compete
Esports wouldn’t be esports without some competition!
Whether you have been competing for years or it’s your first competition, we have something for you. We have tournament brackets with cash prizing for more than 10 games, as well as novice competitions for those looking to dip their toes into esports.

Open Esports & Side Events
Have some time between panels? Not sure if you’re ready for cash tournaments? That’s ok! We’ll have open tournaments, gaming activities, and more for you to take part in regardless of your skill level.
Could clarify eligibility, games, and structure. Button goes to start.gg but could swap to what you are using for registration.

Panels
The Alberta Esports Expo is here to provide a platform for you, so let us help you show off. Whether you want to lead a presentation about your favourite esports moments, host a trivia show about which move beats which, give a tutorial on combos, or anything else you want to share, we’ll work to make it happen.
Academics
Esports grows as we learn and pass that knowledge onto those who come next. Come see what Albertan schools are doing to make esports thrive in Alberta.
Content above - while panelists arent something discussed to my knowledge we could note the academic values here - helpful for sponsors too understand the values inherent in ASEL and AEC (and AESA). The Alberta Esports Association is supported by many incredible communities for all kinds of esports. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about these communities, and see how they operate as they take part in making Alberta Esports Expo incredible together.
Exhibitors
Esports brings together enthusiasts of all kinds, from fan artists to controller modifiers, and schools to LAN cafes. We welcome you to join our exhibitors space to sell your work, promote your business, and connect with us through a shared interest.
I am assuming we want to collect exhibitors this way - artists too? Would swap out all these forms of course
Hotel Discounts
We understand that there are people coming from all parts of Alberta for our event. To help buffer some of the costs associated with hotel stays, we have partnered with the Sandman Signature Downtown, Sandman West and, Chateau Lacombe to provide exclusive hotel rates for our event.
Assuming this is not in the plans - I have some comments on hotel discount rates if you are planning on this. Easy enough to remove this section
Afterparty at Brewhouse
The Canadian Brewhouse in Downtown Edmonton has been gracious enough to reserve a section in their venue, The Canadian Icehouse for AEE attendees which includes a complimentary drink ticket and free access to the Xbox and other gaming consoles available on site.
As we want to ensure attendees are drinking responsibly, please let us know if you require a ticket for transportation via Edmonton Transit System (ETS). We have partnered with ETS and the City of Edmonton on the Show Your Badge program to provide free public transportation for event attendees.
Passes are in limited quantities and must be obtained on-site to ensure these are provided to Alberta Esport Expo attendees.
